.......to find my Z in the middle of the street, pushed out of my driveway, with the door open. Apparantly, someone decided they wanted my car, and went through A LOT of trouble to get it. They didn't. If you don't have a fuel cutoff switch in your Z, I suggest you PUT ONE IN. That's what saved my car. They broke in through the driver's t-top. Apparantly, if you wedge a screwdriver through the rubber insulation where the door and top meet, you can break the pin that holds the top to the roof by pushing it back, allowing you to lift that corner up and remove the top. Then they took a DRILL to my ignition. A DRILL. Metal shavings EVERYWHERE. When they couldnt get the car started, they settled for taking my radio. Im surprised they left the gauges, I guess they didnt know what they were. So now I have to go through the whole ordeal of dealing with my insurance company, and getting this car fixed. God only knows what they damaged trying to get the car started. This is what I get for living walking distance from Newark, NJ. You gotta love this state....highest insurance rate in the country, and slowest to do anything when you need them to. Just sharing some agony.
